Stripe has completed its acquisition of Metronome. Metronome’s metering engine, already used by companies including OpenAI, Anthropic, and NVIDIA, will be integrated into Stripe Billing. Stripe says usage-based models will be a defining industry shift and intends to combine metering with billing capabilities.
