Noloco Overhauls Filtering and Sorting to Speed Up Client and Project Searches

Noloco has overhauled its filtering and sorting systems to help teams find client, project, and invoice data faster. The update removes friction from everyday searches, reducing the need to create custom views or click through multiple menus just to answer basic questions like "which invoices are overdue?" or "what's blocked this week?"

The platform announced on LinkedIn that the changes focus on speed and clarity. Teams can now filter by specific weeks, months, or date ranges without building extra views, and multi-field sorting allows users to prioritize up to three fields at once.

Fewer Clicks, Better Date Handling

The update targets common pain points in agency workflows. Date-range filtering has been simplified, making it easier to isolate records from a specific time window. Teams no longer need to spin up dedicated views for common queries, and the filter setup process requires fewer clicks overall.

Noloco also improved filter labels and empty states to reduce confusion. When no results match a filter, users see clearer feedback instead of a blank screen. App users, not just admins, can now sort data themselves, giving client-facing portals more flexibility.

Multi-field sorting is a practical addition for agencies juggling overlapping priorities. A team can sort projects by status, then deadline, then client, surfacing the most urgent work without manual reordering.

Built for Client Delivery

Noloco positions itself as an operating system for agencies and consultancies, recently adding native time tracking and record history for audit trails. The filtering update fits into that narrative. Client delivery requires quick answers to situational questions, and rigid views or complex filter UIs slow teams down.

The platform competes with tools like Airtable and Softr in the no-code app space, but differentiates by focusing on workflows specific to agencies: client portals, project pipelines, invoicing, and resource planning. The filtering changes are incremental but address real bottlenecks in those workflows.

Noloco did not disclose whether the update introduces new filter types or connectors. The improvements appear focused on usability rather than expanding data source compatibility.

What It Means for Teams

The update reduces the overhead of maintaining multiple views for different filter scenarios. Teams that rely on Noloco for client delivery can now answer ad-hoc questions without switching contexts or building custom layouts. Multi-field sorting and user-facing sort controls make client portals more self-service, reducing support requests.

For agencies already using Noloco, the changes are immediately available. The platform continues to iterate on core UI elements, recently testing new theme options and rebuilding Gantt charts for auto-adjusting timelines. The filtering overhaul is part of a broader push to make the platform faster and less manual for service businesses.
