Granola Launches Shared With Me to Simplify Team Note Access

Granola has released a new feature called Shared with me that allows users to send meeting notes directly to teammates, who can then access them through their Granola sidebar. The update addresses a common workflow gap: what happens when you miss a meeting, or when someone else took the notes you need to review.

According to a LinkedIn post from the company, the feature eliminates the need to copy-paste notes into emails or hunt through multiple tabs and documents. When a user shares a note, it appears automatically in the recipient's sidebar, creating a dedicated space for notes shared by others.

The workflow is straightforward. A team member can share a note from a customer call, supplier conversation, or any other meeting directly with colleagues who need context. Recipients find the shared note in their Granola sidebar without any manual file management.

Why This Matters for Distributed Teams

The feature targets a specific pain point in asynchronous work. When decisions happen in conversations, the people who weren't present often struggle to get up to speed. Email threads with pasted notes get buried. Shared documents require permission management. Slack messages with meeting summaries scroll out of view.

Shared with me creates a persistent, organized location for these handoffs. It's particularly relevant for teams with overlapping responsibilities, where one person might handle a client call while another needs to execute on what was discussed.

Granola has been steadily expanding its collaboration features. The company recently added @ mentions to its chat interface, allowing users to reference specific people or meetings within conversations. It also launched Recipes, which lets users create reusable AI prompts for processing meeting notes into specific formats like action items or project briefs.

The broader pattern is clear: Granola is building infrastructure for meeting notes to function as a shared knowledge layer, not just personal documentation. Shared with me extends that vision by making it trivial to route specific notes to the people who need them, when they need them.

The feature is available now in Granola's sidebar. No additional setup or permissions configuration is required beyond the standard Granola account.
