Granola has expanded its Model Context Protocol connector to seven new applications, letting users pull meeting notes into AI-powered tools like v0 by Vercel, Lovable, Attio, ChatPRD, Duckbill, Runlayer, and Lightfield.
The move broadens where teams can surface meeting context when building products, managing workflows, or generating outputs. Granola introduced its MCP integration in February, initially supporting Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor. This latest update extends that foundation to a wider set of specialized tools.
What the Connector Does
The MCP connector lets AI tools access Granola notes as context when responding to prompts or generating code. A developer using v0, for example, can reference meeting discussions about feature requirements without copy-pasting notes manually. The same applies to Lovable for prototyping, Attio for CRM workflows, or ChatPRD for product specs.
Granola stores notes locally by default, but the MCP integration requires users to opt in and grant access. Once enabled, connected tools can query note content through the protocol. The company has been methodically adding integrations since launch, including Runlayer for managed MCP environments and Magic Patterns for design mockups earlier this year.
Why This Matters
MCP adoption is still early, but it's gaining traction as a standard for connecting context sources to AI tools. Anthropic introduced the protocol in late 2024, and companies like Replit, Supabase, and others have added support. Granola's expansion into seven new apps signals growing demand for meeting notes as a primary input layer.
For teams using Granola, this means fewer context switches. Instead of summarizing a customer call in a separate document before drafting a spec in ChatPRD or building a prototype in v0, the notes can flow directly into those tools. That's particularly useful for remote teams running back-to-back meetings where details get lost between sessions.
The update also reflects Granola's positioning as infrastructure rather than just a note-taking app. By plugging into MCP-compatible environments, it becomes a source layer for workflows across product, design, sales, and engineering tools.
Granola announced the expansion in a LinkedIn post this week. The feature is available now for users with the MCP connector enabled. Instructions for setup are available on the official blog.
