Granola Launches Runlayer Integration to Bring Meeting Notes to Managed MCP Environments

Granola has released a new connector for Runlayer, enabling enterprise teams to access their meeting notes directly through managed Model Context Protocol environments. The integration brings meeting context into the same infrastructure where teams already run their AI tools.

The update targets organizations using Runlayer to manage MCP deployments across their teams. With the Granola connector, meeting notes and context captured during calls become available alongside other data sources in the MCP environment, letting teams reference conversations without switching between platforms.

Extending MCP Beyond Desktop Tools

Granola launched its MCP server in early February, connecting meeting notes to tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and Replit. Since then, the company has steadily expanded MCP support, including recent integrations with Manus AI and Bolt.

While those launches focused on individual developers and small teams, the Runlayer connector addresses a different use case. Runlayer provides managed MCP infrastructure for enterprises, handling security, permissions, and scalability that larger organizations require. By publishing a Runlayer-compatible connector, Granola makes it simpler for IT teams to add meeting context to their existing MCP setups without custom configuration.

For enterprises already invested in Runlayer, this means meeting notes can flow into the same workflows as internal documentation, customer data, and code repositories. A product manager might query recent customer feedback from meetings, or an engineer could pull context from technical discussions without leaving their development environment.

What This Means for Enterprise Teams

The integration arrives as more organizations experiment with context-aware AI systems that pull from multiple internal sources. Meeting notes represent a significant chunk of organizational knowledge, often siloed in individual accounts or scattered across recording platforms.

Granola's approach positions meeting context as another data source in the MCP ecosystem rather than a standalone product. Teams running managed MCP through Runlayer can now include meeting transcripts, summaries, and notes in their AI workflows alongside existing tools and databases.

The update builds on Granola's recent $125M Series C round, which included the launch of Team Spaces for shared note access. With both team-level sharing and enterprise-grade MCP integration, the company is expanding beyond its initial focus on individual note-taking.

The Runlayer connector is available now for teams using the platform. Organizations interested in adding Granola to their MCP environment can find setup instructions through Runlayer's connector directory.
