Granola Launches Team Folders for Shared Meeting Notes and Collaboration

Granola has launched Team Folders, a new feature that allows users to organize and share meeting notes with their teams. The update addresses a growing need among knowledge workers who juggle back-to-back meetings and need to maintain shared context across conversations.

How Team Folders Work

Users can create folders directly from the Granola sidebar and use them to group related meeting notes. Once a folder is created, team members can share notes within it, making context from multiple meetings accessible to the entire team. The feature also enables users to ask questions across their collective meeting notes, surfacing insights that might otherwise remain siloed in individual note sets.

This builds on Granola's existing capabilities, which already include AI-powered note generation and natural language editing. The company has been steadily expanding its collaboration features, previously introducing a "Shared with me" section to help users stay updated on important conversations.

The move comes as teams increasingly rely on AI tools to manage information overload. Granola positions itself as an "AI notepad for people in back-to-back meetings," competing in a space where tools like Notion and Claude also offer knowledge management features.

Broader Context for Meeting Intelligence

Team Folders represents Granola's latest step toward becoming a central hub for meeting intelligence. Earlier this year, the company introduced Granola MCP, which connects meeting notes to Cursor, ChatGPT, and other AI tools via Model Context Protocol. The company also added Microsoft sign-in support in January, opening access to Teams and Outlook users.

Granola recently raised $125 million in a Series C round to expand its platform. The funding announcement noted the company's focus on putting "your company's context to work," suggesting Team Folders aligns with a broader strategy to make organizational knowledge more accessible.

The feature is available now to Granola users. Teams can start by creating a folder in the sidebar and adding relevant notes. The company has not disclosed whether Team Folders is available on all pricing tiers or limited to paid plans.
