Granola Adds Gemini 3 Support to Chat and Recipes Features

Granola has added support for Google's Gemini 3 model in its Chat and Recipes features, expanding the AI model options available to users of the meeting notes platform.

The integration means users can now access Gemini 3 capabilities directly within Granola Chat, the company's conversational interface for querying meeting notes, and Recipes, its workflow automation feature launched in September 2025. Granola announced the update on LinkedIn without additional details about pricing or availability tiers.

Model Choice in Meeting Intelligence

The addition of Gemini 3 gives Granola users another option alongside existing models. While Granola has not publicly detailed which other AI models power its core features, the company has been expanding its AI integrations across its product line. In February, Granola launched Model Context Protocol support, connecting meeting notes to Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor.

Granola Chat allows users to ask questions about their meeting history in natural language, while Recipes enables users to create custom workflows that automatically process meeting notes. Both features benefit from model diversity, as different AI models excel at different tasks, from summarization to data extraction to creative problem-solving.

Growing Platform Momentum

The Gemini 3 integration arrives during a period of rapid development for Granola. Recent updates include Focus Mode for distraction-free note-taking, Warp integration for developer workflows, and Factory integration that converts meeting notes into code.

In March, Granola announced a $125 million Series C funding round, signaling investor confidence in the company's approach to AI-powered meeting documentation. The company positions itself as serving professionals in back-to-back meetings who need quick access to meeting context and action items.

Granola has not specified whether Gemini 3 access requires a specific subscription tier or is available to all users. The company offers both free and paid plans, with premium features typically gated behind subscription levels.
