Another CEO update came out recently from Micha Kaufman of Fiverr, another example of leadership teams across the tech landscape preparing their employees for the coming shift with AI.

We put together a 10 point Future Of Work manifesto based on internal memos from Shopify, Duolingo, Fiverr, and Klarna.

Use GPTs to brainstorm campaign angles, write ad copy, or repurpose blog posts into tweets. 🤝
**Using AI is the new normal.**

**Funnels, not features.**
Use Claude AI to validate landing page copy, map email journeys, and simulate customer objections—before you spend anything on ads. 👑📉

Turn one blog post into a tweet thread, a newsletter, 3 Instagram captions, and a video script—automatically with n8n. 🔁🔟
**Prompt writing is a growth skill.**

👉 This matters because: there are lots of founders using Webflow already who are building out the applications while hosting somewhere else. This is an interesting play to try and capture that revenue which would normally go somewhere else

⭐️ Looks like there will be a browser war. Google due to release AI mode, Perplexity due to release Comet

👉 This matters because: the future of search is fundamentally changing. It's happening right now. Human search via AI apps plus autonomous agents acquiring knowledge means the market domination of Google is over. Further, ChatGPT has already started offering a shopping feature from within the interface.

⭐️ OpenAI acquires Windsurf 🔥🔥

👉 This matters because: The Windsurf experience of being able to choose your model might be coming to an end. OpenAI has just got 800k more active developers using it. We're starting to see a consolidation of the AI market.

The big idea

The Barbell Strategy is a useful framework for thinking how you apportion your time in this age of uncertainty.

In brief - Keep 80‑90 % of your week on AI‑resistant, client‑paying work that covers the bills, and devote the remaining 10‑20 % to bold AI experiments that could 10× your income but can flop without hurting you.

The Barbell Strategy suggests you anchor most of your career in super‑safe, bread‑and‑butter work while betting a small, contained slice of time/energy on crazy‑high‑upside experiments. By avoiding the mushy “average‑risk” middle, you cap downside but stay exposed to lucky breakthroughs—an antifragile setup that grows stronger in chaos.

👉 How to apply this in real life

Safe career bets:

Focus on live relationships. Prioritise work that depends on trust‑building (sales calls, coaching, strategic facilitation).
Be the AI interpreter. Master prompting and turn raw model output into clear decisions for non‑technical stakeholders.
Own an asset. Grow a newsletter, community, or proprietary dataset that stays valuable even as tools change.

Moonshots:

Ring‑fence 10–20 % of your week. Guard this block for bold AI experiments only.
Ship a weekend MVP every month. Use no‑code + AI tools to launch tiny products, gather feedback fast, repeat.
Automate yourself, then sell it. Build AI automations and agents that replace part of your own workflow, package them for others, and scale if traction appears.
