Tally Forms has shipped a search function for its font picker, ending the need to scroll through hundreds of typefaces to find a specific option.
The update appears in the form builder's font selector, where users can now type to filter from over 900 Google Fonts. The search preserves the current font selection while users browse, preventing accidental changes during exploration.
Collapsible Workspaces Also Live
Alongside the font search, Tally released workspace collapsing for users managing multiple accounts. Workspaces can now be minimized in the dashboard to reduce vertical scrolling, letting users focus on active projects without navigating away from inactive ones.
Both features address friction points in the builder experience. For teams standardizing on specific typefaces across multiple forms, the search cuts setup time. For agencies or freelancers juggling client workspaces, collapsing keeps the interface manageable without forcing users to switch accounts.
The changes were announced on Tally's changelog and shared on LinkedIn on June 15. The font picker update comes as part of Tally's ongoing polish work, which recently included PDF exports in automation integrations and a formula editor for calculated fields.
Tally continues to operate as a bootstrapped company, competing against form builders like Typeform and Google Forms with unlimited forms and submissions on its free tier. The platform's focus on design customization makes font selection a frequently used feature, particularly for branded forms embedded on external sites.
The font search and workspace collapsing are live for all users in the Tally form builder. Full customization documentation is available on Tally's help site.
