Perplexity has launched Computer for Enterprise, expanding its AI-powered workflow platform to business customers with deep integrations and premium research capabilities. The release brings Perplexity's multi-step automation tool directly into Slack channels and DMs, alongside access to institutional-grade data sources.
Computer routes tasks across 20 specialized AI models and connects to more than 400 applications, handling workflows that span research, coding, design, and deployment. The platform inherits enterprise security settings including data retention policies, audit logs, and permission controls. Perplexity maintains that it never trains on customer data.
Slack as the collaboration layer
The Slack integration emerged from Perplexity's internal testing. The company found that embedding Computer in messaging channels created a natural environment for sharing and collaborating on complex tasks. Enterprise subscribers can now add Computer to any channel or direct message, enabling teams to run research queries, generate code, or trigger multi-step workflows without leaving their primary communication tool.
This positions Computer as an ambient assistant rather than a separate application, a strategy that mirrors how many companies are deploying AI tools to reduce context-switching.
Premium research sources included
All Computer users now have access to market research platforms typically reserved for Fortune 500 companies, venture capital firms, and institutional researchers. The integration includes CB Insights, PitchBook, and Statista, with citations embedded directly in Computer's responses.
Perplexity announced Premium Sources separately, making these databases available across its product line. For enterprise customers, this means Computer can pull from proprietary market data, startup intelligence, and statistical research without requiring separate subscriptions to each platform.

Customization and organizational knowledge
Computer allows teams to build and share custom skills, connect internal tools, or bring their own Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations. This customization layer means organizations can adapt Computer to their specific workflows and proprietary systems.
The platform maintains personalization at both individual and organizational levels. Computer learns from how teams work while keeping that knowledge siloed within enterprise boundaries, a critical requirement for companies handling sensitive or competitive information.
Perplexity previously opened Computer to Pro subscribers in late February, giving individual users access to the multi-model routing and application connections. The Enterprise release adds the security controls, premium data access, and Slack collaboration that business customers require.
Computer for Enterprise is available now to existing Enterprise subscribers through the Perplexity dashboard.
