Notion has released five new Model Context Protocol connectors for its Custom Agents feature, expanding the range of external services agents can access. The update adds support for Box, ClickHouse, Mercury, Miro, and Mixpanel, giving teams more options to automate workflows across their existing tool stack.
The connectors allow Custom Agents to interact directly with these platforms, pulling data and executing tasks without manual intervention. A sales team could use an agent to query Mixpanel analytics and update a Box folder with reports, or a finance team could have an agent pull transaction data from Mercury and log it in a Notion database.
Why MCP Matters for Notion's Agent Strategy
The Model Context Protocol, developed by Anthropic, provides a standardized way for AI agents to connect with external tools and data sources. Notion added Claude Opus 4.8 and Gemini 3.5 Flash to Custom Agents earlier this year, and these new connectors build on that foundation by letting agents reach beyond Notion's native features.
The five new integrations target different use cases. Box provides enterprise file storage access, ClickHouse offers real-time analytics on large datasets, Mercury handles banking and financial data, Miro enables collaboration on visual boards, and Mixpanel supplies product analytics. Together, they cover a spread of workflows from finance to product management to design collaboration.

Notion introduced its Developer Platform alongside Custom Agents, giving developers tools to build custom integrations and workers that sync external data into Notion databases. The new MCP connectors slot into this architecture, letting agents invoke tools that hit any API or query live data from connected services.
What This Means for Teams
For teams already using Custom Agents, the new connectors mean fewer manual handoffs between tools. An agent with access to Mixpanel could monitor user behavior metrics and automatically flag anomalies in a Notion database, or an agent connected to Mercury could reconcile expenses and update financial dashboards without a human stepping in.
The update follows Notion's automated meeting agent and the rollout of an AI Academy path to train users on building their own agents. By expanding MCP support, Notion is betting that teams want agents capable of orchestrating work across the entire software stack, not just within Notion itself.
The connectors are available now to teams using Custom Agents. Notion has not announced pricing changes tied to the new integrations.
