n8n has added an official integration node for Linkup, a web search and research platform aimed at automation builders. The new node connects Linkup's full API surface, including structured search, content fetching, research tasks, and job orchestration, directly into n8n workflows.
Linkup announced the node on LinkedIn on June 2, noting that it integrates all of the platform's latest features and endpoints as they ship.
What the Node Enables
The integration gives n8n users access to Linkup's search API in multiple response formats, including structured JSON. Users can also call endpoints for web page fetching, research task generation, and task execution without leaving the n8n canvas.
This matters for technical teams building AI-powered workflows that need live web data or document retrieval. The node removes the need to write custom HTTP request logic or maintain API credentials manually. For example, a team could trigger a search query based on a customer support ticket, fetch relevant documentation, and pass the results to an LLM for synthesis, all within a single n8n workflow.
Key endpoints covered include:
- Search with flexible output formatting
- Fetch for content retrieval
- Research and task orchestration
Linkup positions the node as self-updating, meaning new API features should become available in n8n without requiring users to upgrade or reconfigure their workflows. That contrasts with many community-maintained integrations, which can lag behind platform changes.
Meetup Tour Starting in Paris
To mark the launch, Linkup and n8n are running a joint meetup tour. The first event takes place in Paris on June 11, with live demos and hands-on sessions planned. The companies are targeting the n8n community, which has grown around open source workflow automation and increasingly around AI agent tooling.
The tour reflects a broader trend: automation platforms are moving beyond simple app-to-app triggers and embracing live data retrieval, external tool calling, and agent orchestration. n8n has recently shipped MCP server support for AI agents on its cloud platform and added MiniMax node capabilities for multi-step tool chains, both aimed at builders constructing agentic systems that need to query external APIs or databases mid-execution.
Linkup's integration fits into that trajectory. By offering a node that covers search, fetch, and research tasks in one package, the company is betting that workflow builders want fewer manual API calls and more plug-and-play access to real-time web information.
For teams already using n8n to coordinate AI workflows, document pipelines, or customer research automation, the Linkup node provides a native alternative to scraping libraries or third-party search APIs. Users can install it from the n8n node library and start building workflows that pull live web data without managing additional infrastructure.
