Mighty Networks Ships Semantic Search, Mobile Cohost, and AI Summaries in June Update

Mighty Networks released a suite of product updates in June focused on helping community hosts reduce manual work and surface relevant content faster. The community platform announced on LinkedIn that every feature shipped this month aims at "members who show up without being pushed."

The flagship addition is semantic search for Scale plan subscribers and above. Unlike traditional keyword matching, semantic search interprets meaning and intent behind queries, returning results that align with what members are actually looking for rather than exact phrase matches. AI Search Summaries accompany the feature, pulling key takeaways to the top of results so members can find answers without clicking through multiple threads.

Cohost Goes Mobile with Structure Suggestions

Cohost, Mighty Networks' AI assistant for community management, now works on mobile and gained tools for creating and managing Spaces, Collections, and Plans. The update includes built-in structure and naming suggestions to guide hosts through setup, addressing a common friction point for new community builders.

The interface received a visual refresh as part of the rollout, with the company noting more updates are in development. Cohost launched earlier this year to automate routine community tasks; as we previously covered, Mighty Networks has been investing in tools that help hosts design engagement loops rather than rely on constant manual intervention.

Automations Add Milestone Triggers and Rich Formatting

The Automations suite added a Plan Milestone Trigger, enabling hosts to send personalized messages when members hit specific checkpoints in courses or programs. This complements Mighty Networks' recent Kit integration, which expanded lifecycle communication options.

Automated direct messages now support rich text formatting, so hosts can bold key points, add lists, and structure messages without everything arriving as plain text. The formatting applies across all automated communication touchpoints.

Chat Gets Read Indicators and Advanced Filters

Chat functionality expanded with read/unread indicators, bookmarks, and filters for Unread, Bookmarked, Private, Spaces, and other categories. For hosts managing high-volume communities, the filters address a persistent complaint: important conversations buried under new activity.

The update also adds Chromecast support on Android, broader iOS font preference support across the app, and Rich Link Previews through the Admin API, Headless API, and Zapier.

Mighty Networks competes with Circle, Skool, and Bettermode in the white-label community platform space. The company differentiates by bundling courses, memberships, and payments in one platform rather than requiring third-party integrations. With this June update, the focus shifts toward reducing host workload through smarter search and mobile-first tools, critical for communities where members expect instant answers and hosts cannot be online 24/7.

The semantic search and AI summaries are gated to Scale plan subscribers, while Cohost mobile access, automations, and chat improvements roll out across all tiers. Full details are available on the Mighty Networks changelog.
