MailerLite is highlighting a new workflow that makes sharing newsletters significantly faster by leveraging the Model Context Protocol it launched earlier this year. The email marketing platform demonstrated how a simple prompt can instantly gather all web version URLs from newsletters, enabling quick online sharing or QR code generation for offline promotion.
The workflow was shared by Samuel, MailerLite's Customer Support Manager, who described it as his favorite time-saver. Users can now ask ChatGPT to collect newsletter URLs in seconds rather than manually tracking down links across multiple campaigns.
From Manual Collection to Instant Retrieval
The traditional process of gathering newsletter links for sharing has been tedious. Marketers typically need to navigate through their campaign archives, open individual newsletters, and copy web version URLs one by one. This becomes particularly cumbersome when preparing marketing materials, social media posts, or promotional QR codes that reference multiple newsletter editions.
MailerLite's MCP integration transforms this workflow into a single-prompt operation. Users connected to the MailerLite MCP server through ChatGPT can request their newsletter URLs and receive an organized list immediately. The system pulls web versions directly from the user's account, eliminating manual searching.
Once URLs are collected, users can take the output in multiple directions. For digital sharing, the links can be formatted for social media, email signatures, or website archives. For offline promotion, the same URLs can be converted into QR codes that direct people to specific newsletter editions when scanned.
Practical Applications Beyond Basic Sharing
The workflow extends beyond simple link collection. Marketers running events can generate QR codes for printed materials that link to relevant newsletter content. Publishers can quickly compile URL lists for media kits or partnership discussions. Content teams can assemble archives of past newsletters for reference without digging through their dashboard.
The MCP integration also supports other email marketing tasks through natural language prompts, including campaign creation, list management, and performance analysis. MailerLite's implementation lets users interact with their account data conversationally rather than navigating traditional UI menus.
This update arrives as MailerLite continues expanding its platform capabilities. The company recently added features like digital product sales and scratch card generators to help creators monetize and engage their audiences beyond traditional email campaigns.
The newsletter URL workflow is available now to MailerLite users who have configured the MCP server connection. Setup requires connecting a ChatGPT account to MailerLite's MCP server, after which the prompt-based workflows become accessible. The company has not announced whether similar functionality will expand to other AI assistants beyond ChatGPT.
