Kajabi shipped six commerce-focused updates designed to help creators capture more revenue and reduce payment friction. The updates, announced on LinkedIn, range from ACH Direct Debit on invoices to instant payouts, with several features still rolling out to users.
The updates arrive as part of Kajabi's Timberline development cycle, which the company said would focus on making commerce tools smarter and more effective for creators selling digital products and memberships.
ACH Payments and Automated Reminders
Kajabi now supports ACH Direct Debit on invoices for US-based Heroes plan subscribers. The feature allows clients to pay directly from their bank accounts, which typically incurs lower processing fees than credit card transactions, particularly on larger purchases.
The platform also introduced automated payment reminders that email customers before their subscriptions or payment plans renew. According to Kajabi, the feature aims to reduce failed charges and eliminate awkward follow-up conversations when payments don't go through.
Smarter Checkout Recovery
Abandoned checkout emails received an overhaul. The updated recovery emails now include a new reporting dashboard that shows creators exactly how much revenue they're reclaiming from cart abandoners. Kajabi framed the update as addressing a common pain point: knowing whether recovery efforts actually work.
Creators can also now configure what happens to existing members when removing a product from an offer. The new product removal options let them choose whether to maintain or revoke access, giving more control over membership management.
Brand Voice and Faster Payouts
Two features are currently rolling out to users. Checkout language overrides allow creators to customize any label on their checkout pages to match their brand voice, moving beyond default payment terminology. The company filtered specifics from the original announcement but indicated the feature provides granular control over checkout copy.
Instant payouts will give creators faster access to their earnings when needed, though Kajabi did not specify processing times or eligibility requirements in the announcement.
The updates follow Kajabi's recent unified media library launch, which centralized content management across courses, emails, and landing pages. The company has maintained a public roadmap at feedback.kajabi.com, where over 90% of recent improvements have originated from direct customer requests.
Kajabi competes with platforms like Stripe for payment processing, ConvertKit for creator email tools, and Circle for community features. The commerce updates position the all-in-one platform to handle more of the payment stack internally, particularly for creators managing subscriptions and digital product sales.
Creators can access the new features through their Kajabi dashboard. ACH Direct Debit requires a Heroes plan subscription and US business registration. Other updates are available across all plan tiers, with checkout language overrides and instant payouts reaching accounts in phases.
