Kajabi has launched Expert Agents, AI-powered assistants designed to handle customer interactions when course creators and coaches are offline.
The feature addresses a common pain point for online business owners: unanswered questions that kill conversions. A prospect researching a course at midnight gets stuck on pricing. A student halfway through a program can't find the right lesson. Both scenarios typically mean lost revenue or engagement, unless someone happens to be monitoring messages.
Expert Agents are trained on a creator's existing content and deployed in two specific contexts. A Sales Agent lives on landing pages, fielding objections and enabling purchases directly in chat. A Teaching Assistant sits inside course environments, identifying where learners get stuck and surfacing the exact lesson and timestamp they need.
Trained on What You Already Built
The agents pull from content creators have already published: course modules, FAQs, product descriptions, email sequences. Kajabi positions this as leveraging expertise that's already documented, rather than requiring new setup or scripting.
The Sales Agent is designed to move prospects through objections without requiring a human to jump in. If someone asks about refund policies, payment plans, or what's included in a course bundle, the agent answers based on how the creator has structured their offer. Purchases can be completed in the same conversation.
The Teaching Assistant works differently. When a student asks a question mid-course, the agent searches transcripts and lesson content to pull relevant material. Instead of waiting for an email response or digging through a knowledge base, students get pointed to the section that answers their question, complete with a timestamp if it's video content.
Built Into the Kajabi Workflow
Expert Agents integrate with Kajabi's existing tools rather than requiring a separate platform. The Sales Agent can be added to any landing page or sales funnel. The Teaching Assistant appears in course modules where students are already consuming content.
This follows Kajabi's recent push into AI-assisted workflows. The platform launched Cofounder earlier this year, an AI strategist that helps creators build launch plans, and introduced an MCP integration for generating landing pages from chat. Expert Agents extend that AI layer into customer-facing interactions.
The emphasis is on availability. Most course creators and coaches operate without full-time support teams. Questions come in at odd hours, often from different time zones. Expert Agents are positioned as a way to maintain responsiveness without scaling headcount or staying glued to email.
For creators running lean operations, that could mean fewer lost sales from unanswered objections and fewer support tickets from students who can't find information. The agents don't replace human interaction entirely, but they handle the repetitive queries that don't require nuanced judgment.
Kajabi has not disclosed pricing or whether Expert Agents are available across all plan tiers. The feature is rolling out to users building businesses around courses, coaching programs, and membership communities on the platform.
