Granola has closed a $125 million Series C funding round led by Danny Rimer at Index Ventures, with participation from Mamoon Hamid at Kleiner Perkins. The AI notepad company, which helps people manage back-to-back meetings, also secured continued backing from existing investors Lightspeed, Spark, and NFDG.
The funding announcement comes alongside several major product releases designed to help teams leverage meeting context across their workflows. The centerpiece is Team Spaces, a new feature that makes it easy for colleagues to share meeting notes and context with each other.
Team Spaces and Enterprise Capabilities
Team Spaces addresses a gap many organizations face: valuable context from meetings often stays siloed in individual note-taking apps. With the new feature, teams can now pool their meeting intelligence in shared environments, allowing colleagues to catch up on conversations they missed and use that context to inform their work.
Granola is also rolling out APIs for both individuals and enterprises, giving developers programmatic access to meeting data. As we previously covered, the company has been expanding its integration ecosystem to connect meeting notes with other productivity tools.
For enterprise customers, Granola is expanding Model Context Protocol (MCP) access and introducing enhanced visibility and control features. The MCP integration, launched earlier this year, connects meeting notes to AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor.
Betting on Conversational Context
The timing of the funding and feature releases reflects a broader shift in how companies think about meeting data. Rather than treating notes as static records, Granola positions conversational context as a dynamic resource that can drive productivity across teams.
"Conversations are rich with context, and that context is helpful," the company noted in its announcement. "Catch up quicker. Have better conversations. Use it to inform work in other tools."
Granola has observed teams beginning to use their meeting context to make meaningful progress on projects. The new releases aim to accelerate that trend by making context sharing frictionless and giving enterprises the control they need for adoption at scale.
The Series C follows steady product momentum for Granola. Recent updates have included a visual rebrand, Microsoft sign-in support, and features like transcript editing and @mentions. The company's focus on building a truly useful AI product, rather than adding AI for its own sake, has resonated with teams drowning in back-to-back meetings.
With fresh capital and expanded team collaboration features, Granola is positioning itself as more than a note-taking tool. It's building infrastructure for how teams capture, share, and act on the knowledge that emerges from their conversations.
