ElevenLabs Launches Spotlight for Real-Time AI Agent Quality Monitoring

ElevenLabs introduced ElevenAgents Spotlight, a monitoring and analytics layer designed to help teams improve AI agent performance across voice and chat channels. The feature tracks every conversation in real time, auto-groups interactions into searchable topics, and scores quality against custom criteria.

Spotlight addresses a recurring challenge for teams deploying conversational AI: identifying what's working and where agents fall short. The platform observes conversations as they happen, automatically organizing them into topics and subtopics while assigning sentiment scores. Teams can search by meaning rather than keywords, and sort topics by volume, resolution rate, or sentiment to prioritize improvements.

Quality Scoring and Anomaly Detection

One of Spotlight's core capabilities is custom quality scoring. Teams define quality criteria in plain language, and the platform evaluates every conversation against those benchmarks. This lets support and product teams measure agent performance consistently over time.

Spotlight also includes anomaly detection for key metrics. If success rates drop or demand spikes unexpectedly, the system flags the shift so teams can respond early. The platform streams metrics, logs, and traces to Datadog, Grafana, or any OpenTelemetry-compatible backend, fitting into existing observability workflows.

Proactive Recommendations

Beyond tracking and reporting, Spotlight suggests next steps based on an agent's configuration and conversation history. The goal is to surface actionable improvements without requiring manual analysis of every interaction.

ElevenLabs positions the feature as a way to move agents from initial deployment to sustained quality at scale. The announcement follows recent updates to ElevenAgents, including Procedures for standardized workflows and integration work with enterprise clients like Alpha Bank.

The launch reflects broader momentum in AI agent tooling, where monitoring and quality control are becoming critical as companies move conversational AI from pilot projects to production environments. Spotlight is available now for ElevenAgents users.
