Bubble Cuts AI App Generation Time in Half, Upgrades UI With Latest Claude Model

Bubble has rolled out significant performance and quality improvements to its AI-powered app generation feature, cutting generation time by roughly half and delivering noticeably sharper user interfaces.

The updates apply to both web and mobile app generation through Bubble's AI app builder, which lets users describe an application concept and receive a working prototype complete with design, data structure, and workflows. The speed improvement addresses one of the most common friction points in AI-assisted development: waiting for generated output.

Performance and Model Upgrades

The 2x speed increase means developers can iterate faster on initial concepts and test multiple variations of an idea in the same session. This matters particularly for users exploring different approaches to a problem or refining a concept based on early feedback.

Bubble's integration of Claude's newest model also brings quality improvements to the generated applications. The company describes the output as "genuinely sharper," suggesting better visual hierarchy, more polished component layouts, and potentially more sophisticated UI patterns. For a no-code platform where generated starting points often require refinement, higher-quality initial output reduces the gap between prompt and production-ready.

The announcement follows Bubble's recent structural improvements to its AI generator, which added organized sidebars and reusable components to generated apps. Combined with faster generation and better design output, these updates position Bubble's AI capabilities as increasingly competitive with code-focused alternatives like Lovable and Bolt.

Broader Context

Bubble's AI features target the platform's core audience: founders and operators building internal tools, marketplaces, and SaaS products without engineering teams. The speed and quality improvements make the AI generator more viable for rapid prototyping and customer validation, two areas where no-code platforms have traditionally excelled.

The focus on mobile performance is particularly notable. Mobile app development remains more complex than web development in most no-code tools, and faster mobile generation lowers the barrier for users exploring native-style experiences.

Bubble has been steadily expanding its AI capabilities throughout 2025 and into 2026, including image upload support for its AI Agent and workflow enhancements. The platform's approach differs from pure code generation tools by maintaining Bubble's visual development model while using AI to accelerate the initial build phase.

Users can test the updated AI generation experience at bubble.io/ai. The improvements are available immediately to all Bubble users with access to AI features.

AI Lets You Build Everything—Here’s Why You Still Never Launch

Tom Wesolowski, owner of NoCodeRefactoring.com, delivers a conference talk exposing how AI's ability to build anything has created a new problem: chronic overbuilding that prevents launches. Using a real marketplace project as a case study, he demonstrates how an 80% scope reduction transformed a stalled four-month development into a revenue-generating product launched in two weeks. The talk provides a practical framework for identifying the minimal viable customer loop and postponing everything else until real user demand validates the need.
