Bolt launched five new features for its Teams product this week, shifting focus from individual speed to what the company calls "trust" in collaborative AI development.
The update centers on security and consistency. Bolt for Teams now includes automatic security scans that audit every database for exposed credentials, missing access controls, and risky configurations. The scans run without setup and offer one-click fixes for flagged issues.
Teams can now save any project as a reusable template. The feature locks in structure, dependencies, and configuration so every new project starts from the same foundation. Bolt says this addresses a common workflow break: developers starting from scratch because they can't locate the previous version.
Database Integration and Admin Controls
The platform added support for existing Supabase databases. Teams can connect their production database directly without migrating data or rebuilding schema. The integration works alongside the new security audit tool, which scans both Bolt-generated and external databases.
Bolt also shipped admin controls that apply org-wide. Administrators can now set a default deployment provider, toggle which integrations are available, and enforce those settings across all team projects. The controls take effect immediately without requiring per-project configuration.
Model persistence is the fifth addition. Previously, Bolt reset to its default model with each new session or project. Now it remembers the selected model, so teams working exclusively with a specific LLM don't need to reconfigure it every time.
Context in the Broader Push
The features follow Bolt's recent launch of Design System Agents and its Connectors feature, both aimed at reducing friction between prototype and production. The security audit and template system extend that focus to team environments where consistency and compliance become blockers.
Most AI coding tools prioritize individual productivity. Bolt for Teams is making a different bet: that the constraint isn't how fast one person can build, but whether what they build can be safely reused and deployed by others.
The updates are available now to Bolt for Teams users. Pricing and plan details are on the Bolt website.
