Jotform Launches Jotform AI for Conversational Form Building

Jotform has launched Jotform AI, a conversational interface that lets users create forms, workflows, and automations by describing their needs in plain language. The company calls it their biggest product launch to date.

The new AI layer sits atop Jotform's existing design, automation, and workflow tools, making them accessible through natural language prompts rather than manual configuration. Users can now type requests like "build a volunteer signup form with availability slots" and watch the platform generate a working form instantly.

Beyond Form Generation

Jotform AI extends beyond simple form creation. The platform can now handle complex automation requests through conversation, routing submissions, triggering email sequences, and connecting to third-party services based on natural language instructions.

This builds on Jotform's earlier ChatGPT integration, which introduced conversational editing. The new Jotform AI release takes this further by bringing AI natively into the core platform experience rather than requiring a separate integration.

The company highlighted customer time savings in their announcement, pointing to users who have automated workflows that previously required manual processing. One case study featured on their blog shows KwikPsych, a healthcare provider, saving 15 hours per week using Jotform's automation features.

What Sets This Apart

Jotform AI differentiates itself from competitors like Typeform and Tally Forms by focusing on end-to-end workflow automation, not just form aesthetics. While other form builders have added AI features for question suggestions or data analysis, Jotform positions its AI as a comprehensive assistant for the entire data collection and processing pipeline.

The platform supports workflows that span intake, approval chains, payment processing, and document generation. This positions Jotform more directly against workflow automation tools like Zapier and Make, which have also been racing to add AI capabilities.

Jotform hosted a launch event to demonstrate the capabilities, though specific technical details about the underlying models or API access remain unclear. The company's blog describes the feature as leveraging "powerful design, automation, form creation, and workflow tools" through conversational access.

Availability and Access

Jotform AI appears to be rolling out to existing Jotform users. The company hasn't disclosed pricing changes or whether AI features require specific subscription tiers. Their standard free tier supports up to five forms with 100 monthly submissions, while paid plans start at $34 per month for expanded form limits and advanced features.

The announcement arrives as form builders race to integrate AI. Google Forms added AI-powered quiz generation last year, while Typeform introduced AI writing assistance. Jotform's approach of conversational workflow building represents a more ambitious bet on AI as an interface replacement rather than a feature add-on.

Users can access Jotform AI through the main platform. The company maintains a dedicated AI landing page at jotform.com/ai with additional resources and case studies.
