Jotform Adds Microsoft Excel and SharePoint Integrations to Automate Form Workflows

Jotform has launched native integrations with Microsoft Excel and SharePoint, addressing two of its most requested features from enterprise users. The integrations allow form submissions to flow directly into Excel spreadsheets or SharePoint document libraries without manual exports.

The announcement comes as Jotform continues expanding its enterprise automation capabilities, following recent partnerships with healthcare and workflow automation platforms. According to the official blog post, the Microsoft integrations were specifically designed to reduce friction for teams already embedded in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

Direct Data Flow to Excel and SharePoint

The Excel integration enables automatic creation of new rows in designated spreadsheets whenever a form is submitted. Users can map form fields to specific columns, maintaining consistent data structure across submissions. This removes the need to download CSV files and manually import them into Excel, a process that becomes particularly cumbersome at scale.

SharePoint integration works similarly but focuses on document management. Form submissions can trigger file uploads to SharePoint libraries, with metadata from form fields automatically applied to organize and categorize documents. This is particularly useful for organizations managing contracts, applications, or compliance documents that need to live in a central repository.

Both integrations support conditional logic, so users can route submissions to different spreadsheets or SharePoint folders based on form responses. A customer feedback form, for example, could send negative reviews to one Excel sheet for immediate follow-up while routing positive feedback to another for marketing use.

Part of Broader Automation Push

Jotform has been steadily building out its automation ecosystem. The company recently launched a ChatGPT integration that lets users build forms through conversational prompts, and the platform already connects with tools like Zapier, Make, and Stripe.

The Microsoft integrations arrive at a strategic moment. As companies consolidate their tool stacks to reduce costs, native integrations with dominant platforms like Microsoft 365 become table stakes. Organizations want data to flow seamlessly between the tools they already use rather than managing multiple export-import workflows or paying for middleware.

Case studies published alongside the announcement highlight how organizations are leveraging Jotform's automation features. Healthcare startup Updoc processed over 1 million consultations using Jotform forms connected to Stripe for payments, while marketing platform Splio reduced workflow setup time significantly by combining Jotform Enterprise with Make for custom automations.

The integrations are available now to all Jotform users. Setup requires connecting a Microsoft 365 account through Jotform's integrations panel, then selecting target spreadsheets or SharePoint sites during form configuration. No coding is required, though advanced users can access API options for custom implementations.

For teams already managing data across Microsoft tools, the update eliminates a persistent pain point. Whether collecting event registrations, customer feedback, or employee requests, form data can now land directly where teams need it without the export-upload dance.
