Granola MCP Connectors Carry Meeting Context Into AI Apps

Granola MCP Connectors can carry meeting notes, ideas, discussions and decisions into AI apps that support Connectors. Builders can use the context from a meeting while creating the next piece of work, without starting from an empty prompt.

In its LinkedIn post, Granola points to three examples: drafting a client proposal in Claude, designing a prototype in Figma and updating a landing page with Cursor. In each case, the source material comes from conversations already captured in Granola.

How Granola MCP Connectors Work

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It provides a way for an AI application to connect to an external source of context, in this case Granola’s meeting notes and takeaways.

The connection starts inside the supported AI application. Users open its Connectors area, search for Granola and connect their account. The Granola context is then available while working in that application.

  1. 1

    Open Connectors

find the Connectors section inside the supported AI app

  2. 2

    Search for Granola

select Granola from the available connections

  3. 3

    Use meeting context

bring the relevant discussions, ideas and decisions into the task

Turn Meeting Context Into Working Files

The examples cover several common handoffs between a meeting and the work that follows it.

The connector keeps the discussion and the production task within the same workflow. It also extends Granola beyond its own notes interface, so meeting context can travel into the application where the output is being made.

This continues Granola’s expansion of MCP connections, following its addition of six integrations to its MCP connectors.
