ElevenLabs announced a partnership with IBM to help businesses build natural, multilingual voice experiences through IBM's watsonx Orchestrate platform. The integration gives enterprise customers access to ElevenLabs' library of over 10,000 voices across 70 languages, paired with compliance features designed for regulated industries.
Businesses using watsonx Orchestrate to build conversational voice agents can now select from ElevenLabs' voice catalog directly within IBM's workflow orchestration platform. The integration targets organizations that need to deploy voice interfaces across multiple markets and languages without building separate voice systems for each region.
Enterprise Compliance and Security
The partnership emphasizes compliance features for industries handling sensitive data. ElevenLabs is offering PCI compliance for secure payment processing over voice, Zero Retention Mode to support HIPAA-compliant data handling requirements, and data residency options to meet geographic data storage regulations.
Zero Retention Mode ensures that voice data is not stored after processing, addressing healthcare and financial services requirements where temporary data handling is mandatory. Data residency allows companies to specify where their voice processing occurs, meeting regulatory requirements in jurisdictions like the European Union where data localization is legally required.

The integration follows ElevenLabs' recent expansion into on-premise and on-device deployment, which allowed organizations to run voice AI without sending data to cloud servers. The IBM partnership extends that enterprise positioning by embedding ElevenLabs into a platform already used for business process automation.
Targeting Enterprise Voice Automation
Watsonx Orchestrate is IBM's AI-powered workflow platform that automates business tasks by connecting multiple systems and tools. By integrating voice capabilities, IBM is enabling customers to add conversational interfaces to existing workflows, such as customer support routing, appointment scheduling, or order status inquiries.
The 70-language support is particularly relevant for multinational organizations. Rather than building separate voice systems for each market or relying on lower-quality machine translation, businesses can select voices that sound natural in each target language. ElevenLabs has deployed similar multilingual capabilities for diplomatic settings, where nuanced language delivery is critical.
This IBM integration positions ElevenLabs against enterprise-focused voice platforms like Google Cloud Text-to-Speech and Amazon Polly, which have longer histories in the enterprise voice market but may lack the same breadth of voice options and language quality. The partnership also puts ElevenLabs in competition with conversational AI platforms that bundle voice generation with natural language understanding, such as Voiceflow.
The partnership does not specify pricing or availability timelines. ElevenLabs has not published a detailed blog post about the integration, only mentioning it would be linked in LinkedIn comments. IBM has not issued a corresponding announcement on its channels. Both companies are positioning the integration as a way to accelerate enterprise adoption of voice AI without requiring businesses to build voice infrastructure from scratch.
