Bubble announced on LinkedIn a new workflow action that generates mobile deep links, giving developers a way to route users directly to specific screens in native mobile apps from external channels like email, messaging platforms, or stored database records.
The "Create a mobile deep link" action sits under Native Mobile in the workflow action picker and outputs a standalone URL that can be dropped into transactional emails, shared via WhatsApp or iMessage, stored in a database at signup, or passed into subsequent workflow steps. The move extends Bubble's native mobile capabilities, which previously expanded beyond its initial beta to power apps like Droom.
Same Config, More Distribution
Developers already using push notifications in Bubble will recognize the setup. The deep link action uses the same navigation configuration, meaning no new learning curve for teams that have already built notification flows. The primary difference is scope: where push notifications require user opt-in and device registration, deep links work across any channel that supports URLs.
This matters for workflows that need to reach users before they install an app, or when push isn't the right medium. Password reset flows, referral programs, support ticket responses, and onboarding sequences can all benefit from links that land users on the right screen rather than a generic home view.
Use Cases Beyond Email
While transactional email is the obvious application, Bubble explicitly called out messaging apps and database storage as valid targets. That opens patterns like:
- Generating a personalized onboarding link at signup and storing it in the user's record for later reference
- Letting users copy a deep link to share content or invite others via their preferred messaging app
- Passing deep links into API calls or third-party services that don't natively integrate with push notification providers
The action also fits into Bubble's broader push toward visual workflows over generated code. As the platform upgraded its AI Agent and shipped infrastructure improvements, it has consistently prioritized discrete, composable actions that developers can combine without writing custom logic.

Bubble pointed developers to its documentation for the full setup guide, though the LinkedIn post suggests the feature is live and accessible in the workflow editor now. For teams building mobile-first SaaS platforms, marketplaces, or CRMs on Bubble, the ability to generate deep links on demand removes a common friction point in user activation and retention workflows.
