Netlify Brings Cursor Origin Repositories Into Continuous Deployment.

Cursor Origin repositories now build, preview and deploy directly through Netlify. A Git push can trigger a build and deployment, while a pull request can create a Deploy Preview and return its status and preview link to the pull request.

The integration gives Origin repositories the same core continuous deployment workflow Netlify already provides for repositories hosted on GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket. According to the Netlify blog post, it is rolling out in beta through Cursor’s invite-only Origin programme.

Builders with access can start a new Netlify project and connect a repository hosted on Origin. Cursor Origin uses OAuth authentication, so the Cursor account completing the connection must have access to the codebase that owns the repository.

Once connected, Netlify handles three parts of the deployment workflow:

The preview can use either a preview URL or a production URL, depending on the Git event and project configuration. Existing Netlify users do not need to adopt a different workflow when moving a repository from another supported Git host. Origin becomes another source they can connect to a project.

Deploy Previews already let teams inspect changes before merging them. This integration brings that process into Cursor Origin, following Netlify’s earlier work to add Deploy Previews for stacked pull requests to every layer.

The integration does not require a specific Netlify pricing plan. Access depends on membership of Cursor’s invite-only Origin beta, which is rolling out now.

Origin is Cursor’s Git hosting system for agent-driven development. Netlify has also built its own Git infrastructure, Netlify Source, around preserving code alongside the prompts, context and decisions used by coding agents. The Origin integration connects that newer repository host to Netlify’s established build and deployment pipeline.
