Lovable has introduced Groups, a workspace management feature that gives administrators granular control over project access and team permissions across their organization.
The new feature allows admins to create collections of workspace members and manage their access to projects and published applications. Admins can share entire projects with specific groups in a single action, eliminating the need to add individual team members one by one. Published applications can now be restricted to designated groups, giving teams more control over who can view and interact with their deployed work.
Folder-Level Permissions and SCIM Integration
Groups integrate with Lovable's project organization system through folder-level permissions. Teams can organize their projects into folders and assign access rights at the group level, making it easier to structure workspaces around departments, client accounts, or project types. The feature also supports SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) integration, allowing organizations to automatically sync group membership from their identity provider. This removes the administrative overhead of manually updating team rosters when employees join, leave, or change roles.

The rollout of Groups comes as Lovable continues to expand its enterprise capabilities. The platform recently added Claude Opus 4.7 support and has been shipping infrastructure improvements following its April 2026 service incident.
Impact for Enterprise Teams
For organizations using Lovable at scale, Groups addresses a core workflow challenge: managing who can see and edit what across growing teams and project portfolios. The ability to restrict published app visibility means teams can control access to internal tools, client deliverables, or work-in-progress prototypes without relying on external authentication layers.
The SCIM integration is particularly relevant for companies that manage user access centrally through identity providers like Okta or Azure AD. Rather than maintaining separate user lists in Lovable, admins can define groups once in their IdP and have those permissions flow automatically into the platform.
Groups is available now across all Lovable workspace plans. The feature appears as part of the platform's broader push into team collaboration tools, which also includes shared database connectors and multi-user project editing capabilities.
