ElevenLabs Expands Enterprise Voice AI with On-Premise and On-Device Deployments
ElevenLabs announced on LinkedIn that its voice AI platform can now be deployed on-premise and on-device, expanding beyond its existing cloud and VPC options. The move addresses data sovereignty requirements and offline inference scenarios that have been barriers for enterprise adoption, particularly in government and embedded hardware use cases.
The on-premise option runs on a customer's own servers within their data center, leveraging confidential computing infrastructure with GPUs. According to the company, this deployment model is designed for government agencies and organizations that face procurement restrictions preventing them from using cloud infrastructure in their required regions. The timing aligns with ElevenLabs' recent push into government contracts, announced in February 2026.
On-device deployment runs directly on hardware and is built for offline inference on constrained compute. ElevenLabs specifically cited embedding voice into vehicles and wearables as target applications. This capability could position the company to compete in automotive and IoT markets where network connectivity cannot be guaranteed.
Both on-premise and on-device deployments are currently in early access, with initial releases expected in the first half of 2026. The phased rollout suggests the company is still optimizing these deployment models for production workloads.
VPC Deployments Available Now
For organizations with data residency requirements that are difficult to meet with SaaS but can still use cloud infrastructure, ElevenLabs offers VPC deployments on AWS SageMaker and GCP Vertex. These deployments are available immediately.
In VPC mode, ElevenLabs' models run entirely within a customer's cloud account. The company stated it cannot access customer data or logs in this configuration, addressing compliance concerns around data handling. This approach mirrors deployment strategies used by other enterprise AI vendors seeking to balance ease of use with stringent security requirements.
The expanded deployment options come as ElevenLabs has been scaling its enterprise offerings. The company recently announced partnerships with Deutsche Telekom and customer wins including Klarna and Revolut for its voice agent platform. These enterprise deployments demonstrate demand for flexible infrastructure options that meet varying regulatory and operational requirements.
By offering four distinct deployment models, cloud, VPC, on-premise, and on-device, ElevenLabs is positioning itself to serve organizations across the spectrum of data control and infrastructure preferences. Whether the on-premise and on-device options gain significant traction will likely depend on pricing, performance characteristics, and how well they handle model updates compared to cloud-based alternatives.
