Blush has rolled out video export capabilities for its 3D and illustration libraries, allowing users to animate static graphics and download them as MP4 or GIF files.

The design asset platform announced on LinkedIn that its customizable graphics can now be brought to life as animated media. The update applies to both the platform's hand-drawn illustrations and its library of 3D assets, which users can personalize before exporting.

Blush has built its offering around fully customizable graphics created by a global network of artists. Until now, those assets were limited to static formats. The new animation capability extends the platform's use cases into motion graphics for social media, email campaigns, and web experiences where movement can drive engagement.

Export Formats and Workflow

Users can export animated assets in two standard formats: MP4 video files or GIF animations. According to the announcement, the export process requires just one click once an animation is configured.

The feature addresses a common pain point for designers who previously needed to export static files from Blush and animate them in separate tools like Figma or After Effects. By handling animation within the platform, Blush reduces the tool switching that typically slows down asset production workflows.

The animation capability appears to work across Blush's existing customization interface, where users can already modify colors, poses, and other attributes of illustrations before download. This means designers can personalize both the visual style and the motion of their assets in a single session.

Design Asset Platforms and Animation

Blush competes in a crowded design asset space alongside illustration libraries like Unsplash and Pexels, though those platforms focus primarily on photography. The addition of animation puts Blush in a different category, closer to motion graphics tools that require more technical skill.

For small business owners and solo creators working in tools like Canva or Webflow, the ability to generate custom animated assets without learning animation software could speed up content production. Social media posts, landing page headers, and email newsletters are common use cases where lightweight animation can improve performance metrics.

Blush has been expanding its platform steadily over the past year. The company previously added a Pride style filter and launched AI portfolio review bots following a San Francisco design event.

The video export feature is available now on Blush's website. The company has not disclosed pricing changes or whether the animation capability is included in existing subscription tiers.
