About this event

Human–AI decision synergy: Rethinking leadership, risk and value creation in the age of intelligent systems. This Oxford-based workshop invites researchers, practitioners and policymakers to explore how humans interact with increasingly capable algorithms. Over three days, attendees will dive into the ethical, practical and strategic implications of human–algorithm collaboration, with a focus on leadership, governance and responsible deployment of intelligent systems.

What makes this event valuable?

  • A rigorous, interdisciplinary program combining academic presentations, expert-led panels and practical discussions on how AI reshapes decision-making, work processes and organizational value.
  • Four substantive panels on day one: Business (how AI reshapes strategy, operations and customer value), Technology (latest AI tools transforming business processes), Governance (risk, ethics and compliance), and Editorial (perspectives from top journal editors on publishing AI business research).
  • A hands-on Wednesday AI Hackathon with four tracks—Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail, and Manufacturing—designed to translate theory into real-world transformation challenges.
  • A competitive, issue-focused environment through the Epitome competition, which emphasizes experimental methods in computational social science and human–AI interaction using no/low-code environments, multi-agent simulations, and integrated AI tooling.
  • Networking opportunities with leading academics, industry experts, and practitioners, plus VIP events such as a formal dinner and optional Oxford city tour.

Who should attend?

  • Academic researchers in business, sociology, law, computer science, and engineering seeking to understand human–AI interaction.
  • C-suite executives and decision-makers in technology-driven sectors (finance, healthcare, manufacturing, etc.) looking for actionable insights into AI-enabled leadership and governance.
  • Policymakers and regulators focused on the social and ethical impact of algorithms and AI systems.
