DevOps Society Liverpool kicks off its in-person meetup series with a hands-on evening hosted at Barclays Eagle Labs in Liverpool. This is a must-attend for anyone working in DevOps, SRE, cloud engineering, or those curious about Kubernetes and security in real-world environments. Date is set for Thursday 19 March 2026 with doors opening at 6:00 PM, and the venue is Eagle Labs on Mann Island (L3 1BP).   • Zed Spencer-Milnes (Managing Director, Ziax) will discuss: "Help! I Started a Minecraft Server and Now Maintain a Kubernetes Distribution". Zed co-chairs the OKD Working Group and leads cloud-native infrastructure work at Ziax, sharing practical experiences from scaling systems and operating Kubernetes in high-demand environments.
  • Rafael Natali (DevOps Technical Lead, Marionete) will present: "I Fought the Pod and the Pod Won: Breaking and Defending Kubernetes from Within". Expect live demonstrations of misconfigurations that can allow container escapes, and learn how to prevent them with real-world security controls (Falco detection, Pod Security Admission) and best practices for securing Kubernetes clusters.
